Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru

A Karate manga with a very high rating = should see how good it is. I can and will say it is really good.

Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru (KSKM) stars Kohinata Minoru, a student who attends a college known for its sports rather than academic orientation. He starts off as a member of the Gymnastics Club with his friend Misaki Nana, only for things to go south which results in him joining the Karate Club.

It starts off a bit confusing, which made me think that the first chapter would be something like the one Boku no Hero Academia has, but it turns out to be quite an important part of the story (with a very funny moment I might add).

You see Nana with Kohinata, which then moves on to a big guy using a voice changer spray. We later know him as Mutou Ryuji, but for now he seems to be a duck-sounding masked person. After the major event that occurs, he then goes to the gymnastics club with the hope of seeing some girls in their leotards, but he gets more than he bargained for. But this leads to Kohinata being played into joining the Karate Club by the Second Karate Club Captain, although he's only told that it's temporary (it isn't).

Kohinata seems a bit unsure in joining the Karate Club (Nana isn't happy about it), but when he sees Mutou in action against the Head of the Judo Club, he sees just how fearsome it can be, and how many enemies Mutou has.

All the Clubs that feature in this have all sorts of characters, which makes for a lot of comedy to a really good story, not to mention some serious moments. It's a good thing too as it shows the author Baba Yasushi wanted to make the story as interesting and entertaining as possible. I can see why it got such a high rating from its readers and definitely recommend to everyone even though I only reached chapter 13 for now. It's that good.
