My Little Monster

Sweet and funny romance...with a side order of rooster

I'm not kidding about the rooster either; you see it in the opening and it shows up in all but one episode. And it has a name by the second episode! If that isn't progress, I don't know what is. Oh and it gets its own mini show at the end of each episode.

Anyway, moving on.

So I kept seeing this on Crunchyroll, and I don't know why but this time I decided to check out the summary. And I can say that I enjoyed the show.

Final Fantasy XV - Brotherhood: Sword & Shield (Episode 3)

Gladdy, Gladdy...Gladiolus

So episode 3 came out a while ago, and for those of you who follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I had some issues with Internet and I couldn't do much blogging. It felt like living in a modern version of the Stone Age since everything is pretty much online nowadays, but I can happily say that as of yesterday I am back online! *insert any cheers here*

Moving on from my temporary absence and complaints about Internet issues, it's time for episode 3 of Brotherhood. As you can probably guess from the name of the episode and who is yet to have a backstory (and from my attempt at something funny at the top of the post), this one is about Gladiolus. He's Noctis' bodyguard and close friend, and how their bond strengthens is quite a good one.

By the looks of it, Gladiolus is the oldest out of the group, with Prompto being the closest to Noctis in terms of age. Ignis is probably slightly older than Noctis and the first or second one to befriend him since he's already with Noctis before Prompto meets him. But that doesn't really matter; it's just something I wanted to mention before I got on with the review. ^-^

Flying Witch

Sha la la laaa

Is the first thing you'll remember before you realise what a gem this anime is. Flying Witch is a nice breath of fresh air from all the anime and manga that scream action, death, adventure, blood, violence, fantasy etc., instead giving you lovely, calm and slow-paced moments with a lovable witch and her cat in the form of 15-year old Kowata Makoto and Chito.

Before I go into that, here's the story. Makoto is in-training and moves from Yokohama to Aomori where her second cousins are living in order to become a fully-fledged witch. They're a laid back bunch who are pretty chill with all the supernatural things that come their way since Makoto stays with them, after all the surprises the kids go through before it becomes the norm for them. It brings a nice twist into the story as Makoto's life intertwines with theirs, yet at the same time their lives are intertwining with hers as she learns some skills that'll assist in her witch training.

Digimon Adventure Tri: Ketsui

All about internal battles with some added comedy

Digimon Adventure Tri is back with a very strong sequel. I kept putting it off because of exams and re-watching old anime and what not, and I'm glad that it was worth the wait.

Ketsui again comes in 4 episodes and continues just slightly after the events in Saikai, with Odaiba under repair. Mimi takes more of the limelight this time after being somewhat in the background since she was in the USA, and Joe is still pretty much AWOL since he's too busy studying for entrance exams rather than prioritising the safety of those around him. Cold-hearted I guess since he wants to progress in the real world and wants to leave his life as a DigiDestined behind, much to the dismay of everyone and Gomamon.

But it's not all dark as there are great comedy moments before things take a turn for the worse, some of which continue in the form of the Digimon group. They're awesome.
